Hemkund Sahib

Hemkund Sahib (also spelled Hemkunt), known as Gurudwara Sri Hemkunt Sahib Ji, is a  place of worship and pilgrimage site in Chamoli district Uttarakhand.It is devoted to Guru Gobind Singh Ji(1666–1708), the tenth Sikh Guru, and finds mention in Dasam Granth, a work dictated by Guruji himself. With its setting of a glacial lake surrounded by seven mountain peaks, each adorned by a Nishan Sahib on its cliff.

Badrinath

Badrinath or Badrinarayan Temple is a temple dedicated to Vishnu which is situated in the town of Badrinath in Uttarakhand, India. The temple and town form one of the four Char Dham and Chota Char Dham pilgrimage sites. The temple is also one of the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Vishnu, who is worshipped as Badrinath—holy shrines for Vaishnavites.

Kaagbhusandi Lake

This is a small oblong lake with emerald green water. It is at an altitude of 5230 mts., near Kankul Pass(5230 mts.), and is almost a kilometer in length. Myriad blossoms decorate its banks during the season, a wildest profusion of colours make the trekker forget the hardships and the exhaustion of the trek. Set in the lap of Hathi Parvat (6730 mts.) the lake can be approached either from Bhiundhar village, near Ghangria,or from Vishnu Prayag.

Kauri Pass

Among the several things that Lord Curzon did in India,the hands-down winner is exploration and popularising of a marquee trek route starting from Joshimath to Kuari Pass in the Garhwal Himalayas. At an altitude of 4264 meters,Kuari Top is like an amphitheatre where some of the stalwart peaks of Himalayas take stage.The 7000 meters club includes the Kamet (7756m),Trishul (7120m), Chaukhamba (7128m),and the great divine peak of Nanda Devi(7817m)and its twin.

Satopanth Trek

Satopanth Trek is close to the hustle-bustle of the holy town of Badrinath lies an secluded, untouched glacial lake called Satopanth. Hidden amidst the most impressive ranges of the Garhwal region, this bright green lake exudes grace and serenity. It makes for a perfect detour from a pilgrimage to Badrinath.
